Syvecs Water Meth Controller

The Syvecs Water Methanol Controller is a dedicated hardware module designed to manage the high-current demands of a water-methanol injection (WMI) pump. While many ECUs attempt to drive pumps directly, the high-amperage inrush of a WMI pump can cause electrical noise or damage to internal ECU circuitry. This controller acts as a heavy-duty power slave, receiving a low-current PWM signal from the Syvecs ECU and translating it into high-frequency, high-current power delivery.

By using this controller, the ECU gains 0-100 percent variable flow control over the pump. This allows for sophisticated "3D" injection strategies based on manifold pressure (MAP), engine load, and air intake temperatures, providing the cooling and octane-boosting benefits of methanol exactly when the engine needs it.

Performance and Precision Engineering

The controller is engineered to handle the specific inductive loads of high-pressure WMI pumps without the lag or heat buildup associated with standard relays.

  • Variable Flow Control: Enables pulse-width modulation (PWM) of the pump, allowing the ECU to ramp injection pressure smoothly rather than a simple "on/off" switch.

  • Fail-Safe Integration: When combined with a Syvecs pressure or flow sensor, the ECU can detect a clogged nozzle or empty tank and instantly trigger a safety map (low boost/low timing).

  • High-Amperage Capacity: Rated to handle the high start-up currents of common pumps like Aquamist, Snow Performance, and AEM.

  • Rugged Construction: Housed in a compact, moisture-resistant enclosure designed for mounting near the pump or fluid tank.

Wiring and Connection Data

The controller acts as a high-side or low-side driver depending on your specific wiring loom configuration. It requires a heavy-gauge power supply to ensure the pump can reach its maximum rated pressure.
