Rolling Road Tuning at Bourne HPP
At Bourne HPP we deliver precise, repeatable performance tuning using our Dyno Developments 1200HP 2WD dynamometer - the same proven equipment used by leading motorsport teams worldwide. Whether it’s a purpose-built race car or a high-performance road machine, our goal is to extract maximum power, torque and drivability while safeguarding engine reliability.
Why Dyno Tuning Matters
Factory engine calibrations are designed to balance emissions, economy and reliability. Once you add performance parts - such as high-lift cams, ported heads, turbo upgrades or freer-flowing intakes and exhausts - that factory map no longer delivers the best results. Without a professional recalibration, you risk reduced performance or even engine damage.
Our rolling road reproduces real-world load across the full rev range and at any throttle position, allowing us to measure torque directly and fine-tune fuelling and ignition with pinpoint accuracy.
What to Expect During a Session
Before testing, we carry out comprehensive checks - oil, coolant, tyres and general safety. The car is then securely strapped to one of more than fifty anchored tie-down points. We fit exhaust-gas probes, knock detection and boost-pressure sensors, and log all data in real time.
The engine is gently brought up to temperature to stabilise readings, after which we run a combination of steady-state and transient tests. This approach lets us identify even minor calibration issues and optimise the map for maximum performance and reliability.
Advanced ECU Mapping
Bourne HPP specialises in modern standalone engine management systems. Whether you’re fitting a fresh powerplant or upgrading your electronics, we can design and fine-tune custom maps for leading platforms such as Syvecs, Life Racing, Haltech, ECU Master, and other professional-grade systems. Our experience covers everything from road-going performance cars to full-on competition builds, ensuring your engine responds perfectly to every input.
