The Syvecs PDU Key Pad is a motorsport-grade CAN-based interface designed to provide the driver with tactile control over the vehicle’s electrical systems. Available in 4, 8, 12, or 15-button configurations, these keypads replace traditional toggle switches and simplify dashboard wiring by communicating over a single 4-wire CAN bus connection rather than individual hard-wired circuits.

When integrated with a Syvecs PDUX or ECU, each button can be programmed with complex logic. This allows for multi-function behavior, such as a single button press turning on the ignition, while a long press triggers the starter motor. The RGB backlighting provides instant visual feedback, changing colors to indicate if a circuit is active, faulted, or in standby mode.

Performance and Precision Engineering

The keypads are designed for use in harsh racing environments, featuring a ruggedized construction that can be operated easily while wearing racing gloves.

• CAN Bus Communication: Reduces loom complexity by transmitting all button states over two wires, significantly saving weight and clutter behind the dashboard.

• RGB Status Feedback: Every button features independent RGB LEDs that can be programmed to change color (e.g., Green for "On," Red for "Fault," Blue for "Flash") via the Syvecs PDU software.

• Replaceable Keycap Inserts: Includes a diverse sheet of icons (Fan, Fuel Pump, Lights, etc.), allowing the user to customize the layout to their specific vehicle needs.

• IP67 Rated: Fully sealed against dust and moisture, making it suitable for open-cockpit race cars and off-road vehicles.

Integration and Logic

The Key Pad acts as a "soft" input device for the PDUX or ECU. Using the Syvecs software, you can assign "Control Logic" to any button.

Common Programming Examples:

• Toggle Mode: Press once for "On," press again for "Off."

• Momentary Mode: Active only while the button is held (useful for Horn or Flash-to-Pass).

• Multi-State Mode: Cycle through different maps (e.g., Position 1 = Blue/Low Boost, Position 2 = Red/High Boost).

• Fault Warning: Program a button to flash Bright Red if the PDU detects a pump failure or over-current state.
