Syvecs EGT Sensor
The Syvecs EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) Sensor is a professional-grade K-Type thermocouple designed to withstand the extreme thermal environment of a high-performance exhaust manifold. Monitoring EGT is a critical part of engine tuning and safety, providing a direct measurement of the combustion temperature within the cylinder. This data allows the Syvecs ECU to detect fueling imbalances or ignition timing issues before they lead to catastrophic engine failure.
Unlike standard thermistors, this K-Type thermocouple is capable of measuring temperatures exceeding 1000C with high accuracy. When paired with a Syvecs EGT-to-CAN or EGT-to-Voltage amplifier, it provides the ECU with the millisecond-level feedback required for individual cylinder fuel trimming and advanced engine protection strategies.

The sensor is engineered for longevity in the high-vibration, high-heat environment of a turbocharged or high-compression naturally aspirated engine.

Inconel Sheath: The sensing probe is protected by an Inconel alloy sheath, offering superior resistance to oxidation and corrosion at extreme temperatures.

Fast Response Tip: Features a 3mm probe diameter to ensure a rapid response to temperature fluctuations while maintaining structural integrity.

Compression Fitting: Includes a 1/8 NPT stainless steel compression fitting, allowing for adjustable probe depth to ensure the tip is perfectly centered in the exhaust runner.

High-Spec Cabling: Utilizes stainless steel overbraided glass fiber wire to protect the thermocouple signal from abrasion and radiant heat.
Calibration and Wiring Data
As a K-Type thermocouple, this sensor generates a very small voltage (millivolts) as the temperature increases. It cannot be connected directly to a standard 0-5V analog input without a specialized thermocouple amplifier (such as a Syvecs EGT-to-CAN module).
Standard K-Type Scaling (Amplified): 0.0V = 0C 5.0V = 1250C (Assuming a 250C per Volt amplifier)
