The Syvecs Fast Response Air Temp Sensor is a high-performance open-element thermistor designed for precision intake air temperature (IAT) monitoring. Based on the widely used GM open-element architecture, it is engineered to provide the rapid thermal tracking required for high-boost forced induction systems. Its open design allows airflow to pass directly over the sensing element, providing response times significantly faster than standard brass-encased fluid temperature sensors.

This sensor is a vital component for accurate air charge calculation, allowing your Syvecs ECU to apply real-time ignition timing and fueling corrections to protect the engine during high-load conditions.

Calibration and Wiring Data

This sensor is an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor. While Syvecs software (SCal) contains this sensor in its built-in database, the following resistance data can be used for manual entry. Note: Syvecs ECUs typically use a 3k Ohm internal pull-up resistor.

Resistance Table:

-40C = 100,700 Ohms

0C = 9,420 Ohms

20C = 3,400 Ohms

40C = 1,450 Ohms

80C = 332 Ohms

100C = 177 Ohms
